Disneyland just kicked off its 70th Anniversary in Anaheim, and let me tell you, it’s a celebration. Between returning favorites and new experiences that had me cheesing like a kid again, for the 70th anniversary something special is in the air. It’s giving joy, nostalgia, and next-level creativity.

But what makes this anniversary hit harder this time around? Disney’s commitment to storytelling that feels current, inclusive, and full of heart. They’re not backing down from their DEI initiatives, if anything, they’re stepping it up. And that’s worth highlighting.
Disney Is Not Backing Down and It Shows
There’s been so much chatter around all companies’ stance on representation, but the truth is, they’re standing ten toes down in their commitment to inclusive storytelling. It’s woven into the programming, the characters, and even the park experiences. Princess Tiana has her own ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and her own restaurant, Tiana’s Palace which is a reimagining as the French Market restaurant. The message is clear, everyone deserves to feel seen in the magic. And this anniversary? It’s just the beginning.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! Is the Show You Didn’t Know You Needed

Starting May 22, Disney Junior: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! is officially part of the Disneyland 70 lineup, and y’all, it’s my new favorite. The show is so fun and engaging from the moment it starts. The songs are catchy (seriously, they’ll be stuck in your head as you wander throughout the park), the host is magnetic, and the choreography is high-energy and adorable. It’s such a good time for families but also just feel-good fun for anyone who grew up watching Disney Junior or remembers the Mickey Mouse Club.
World of Color – ONE: Happiness! Is a Whole Experience
Hosted by Joy and the rest of the Inside Out crew, this show is one of the most visually stunning things I’ve seen in a Disney park…ever. Which is tough for me to say because Disney continuously raises the bar. Between the lasers, the fire, the fog, and those signature fountains, it’s a sensory moment. But what I loved most is how the show doesn’t just look cool. It really taps into emotion. Happiness is the theme, but it reminds you of the full range of feelings that makes us human.
Paint The Night Returns and It’s Still THAT Girl
The Paint The Night parade is back, and it is truly the cherry on top of the 70th festivities. This nighttime parade glows from start to finish and features all your faves. We’re talking Ariel, Rapunzel, Woody, Buzz, Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, the gang’s all here. The music is very feel good, the lights are unreal, and it’s a magical moment for anyone who manages to stay up late enough to catch it (shout out to the kids fighting sleep just to wave at Mickey).
Go While the Magic’s in the Air
This anniversary isn’t just a look back. It’s a bold step forward, and Disney is letting us know they’re not done dreaming big. From unforgettable performances to meaningful storytelling, Disneyland 70 is a reminder of what makes this place so special. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to plan a visit, this is it.
Pack your ears, bring your camera, and prepare to feel all the feels. The magic is alive and well in Anaheim, and it’s shining brighter than ever.
