Summer thrillers are officially back and Dangerous Animals is one to watch. The film hits theaters June 6th and flips the shark genre in a way that’s refreshing.

Hassie Harrison stars as Zephyr, a surfer who finds herself kidnapped by a shark serial killer played by Jai Courtney. who turns out to be way more dangerous than anything swimming in the ocean. It’s giving psychological thriller, survival story, and classic summer chaos all at once.

Filmed in Australia, the movie leans into that isolated, suspenseful vibe that’ll keep you fully locked in. Between the mind games, the tension, and of course the shark element, Dangerous Animals definitely brings something fresh to the genre.
