In the realm of natural history filmmaking, QUEENS stands out as a groundbreaking series narrated by Angela Bassett, showcasing powerful matriarchs ruling in the natural world. At the helm of this revolutionary project are Vanessa Berlowitz and Chloe Sarosh, two dynamic women reshaping the landscape of the genre.

QUEENS delves into six iconic worlds ruled by impressive female leaders, offering a fresh perspective on the wild places of our planet. This series is not just about wildlife; it’s a story of resilience, sacrifice, friendship, and love, highlighting the strength and determination of these natural queens.

Vanessa Berlowitz, co-founder of Wildstar Films and a veteran of the BBC’s Natural History Unit, brings over 25 years of experience to the project. Her leadership has been instrumental in the success of renowned series like Planet Earth and Frozen Planet. Vanessa’s dedication to fostering female and diverse wildlife filmmakers led her to launch the Wildstar Academy, providing training and support to underrepresented talents.

Chloe Sarosh, an Executive Producer and writer with a rich background in natural history and science, serves as the Co-Executive Producer, Showrunner, and Writer for QUEENS. With a commitment to raising the next generation of female cinematographers and filmmakers, Chloe’s work on the series goes beyond storytelling; it’s about empowering women in all areas of production in wildlife television.
